Prizes

Fundação Millennium bcp Emerging Art Award

The support that the Fundaçao Millennium bcp offers to young art is concretized through the Fundação Millennium bcp Emerging Art Award, endowed with 4,000 euros and that in this second edition has fallen to the artist Rui Pedro Jorge of Gallery 111 of Lisbon, with his work “Obor.” The winning work will be integrated into the collection of modern and contemporary art of the Millennium bcp Foundation.

The jury was composed of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Millennium BCP Foundation, Mr. Ambassador Antonio Monteiro, the Administrator of the Millenium BCP Foundation, Ms. Fatima Days, the collector Ms. Alexandra Fierro, the artistic directors of the fair, Semíramis González and Daniel Silvo, and the Portuguese commissioner Lourenço Egreja. The other finalist works of the prize have been “Constructive Pictorial Element” by Joao Días (Salgadeiras Gallery, Lisbon) and “Untitled” from the series “Multiple singularities” by Nicoleta Sandulescu (Peripheral Art Gallery, Lisbon).
